On April 26 and 27, over $140,000 was raised in support of Ragdale, one of the oldest and most renowned artist residency programs and retreats in the country, as well as an historic and cultural gem. Guests gathered for the first night at beautiful Shoreacres, enjoying hors d’oeuvres and drinks as they got to know and hear remarks from nine featured artists and purchased signed books. Special guest emcee and host of NPR’s news quiz Wait Wait . . . Don’t Tell Me!, Peter Sagal, added to the evening. On the second night, after a fun outdoor cocktail party under a tent on the lawn behind Ragdale House, guests and artists made their way accompanied by strolling musicians to a seated dinner with a select artist in dining rooms across the Ragdale campus ending the memorable and successful two-night event.
