2023 Art of Agriculture Finalists

Farm Foundation launched the "Art of Agriculture" campaign in the fall of 2023 and collected over 100 photos and stories representing 16 different states. Agriculture is both an art and science. Through science, creativity, imagination, and resilience, our farmers paint a canvas that feeds the world. This album shares those photos that have been selected as the finalists to have their art featured at the January 2024 Round Table in Hawaii. Finalists will also have the opportunity to have their artwork featured at the new Farm Foundation Innovation & Education Campus in 2024. Also featured in this album are four unique items that are part of our "Art of Agriculture Preview Auction." These limited time items will only be available for purchase online until December 13 at 5:00 pm CT. For item details and more information visit: https://www.32auctions.com/artofagriculture We cannot thank everyone enough for their support and participation with the Art of Agriculture campaign. (Timothy Brennan-Illinois)Mother’s Day: Mother's Day, like any other holiday, doesn't mean you can hit pause on the chores, at least not when you own a farm. My mother is the hardest-working woman I will ever know. She is 73 and has yet to retire. While the four children she raised have grown up, moved away and started their own families, she still manages the family farm alongside my dad. Like many do, I visited my mom on Mother's Day. Between barnyard chores, we hiked to the pasture to check the cattle. My mom, as she always does, pointed out the newest calves, cows closest to calving, and the cows likely to be culled. I snapped photos of the mothers and their calves. (Danielle Dewees-Nebraska)

He then gets in the tractor and wagon and unloads it into a semi. The farmer then gets into his semi and drives it to the local elevators. The farmer comes back gets into the combine to finish the few acres he has left, that could take him three times as long. (Josh Murray-Iowa)
